Lead Classroom Instructor 

Role Overview: 

Join us at Chase What Matters Music Program, where you can significantly impact students by introducing them to the creative and business aspects of the music industry. As a Lead Classroom Instructor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring students, helping them unlock their creative potential and understand the intricacies of the music business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging weekly lesson plans focused on various aspects of music.
• Conduct practical sessions on making beats, DJ mixing, and music production.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
• Create a supportive and effective learning environment for children, youth, and young adults.
• Collaborate within a team to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Organize and lead music-related events or workshops, contributing to the broader community engagement.

Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in songwriting, music business understanding, DJing, and music production.
• Familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations such as Serato DJ, Serato Studio, or Logic Pro. (Training available if needed.)

Background Qualifications:

• Mandatory clearances, including Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI background checks.
• Demonstrated experience in performing, recording, or teaching music.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of musical projects or collaborations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and inspire students.
• Experience in organizing and leading music-related events or workshops is highly desirable.
• Adaptability to work with diverse student groups and environments.

Compensation:

• $100 per session
• Opportunities for professional development and potential pay increases based on performance.

Schedule:

• Sessions last 1-2 hours during or after school hours (Possible times: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM or 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM).
• Instructors are expected to manage setup, actual class time, and breakdown.
