We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mailroom Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, maintaining mailroom equipment, and ensuring that all mail is sorted and delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Prepare and process outgoing mail, including packaging, labeling, and postage.
- Maintain an organized mailroom environment, including keeping track of supplies and equipment.
- Operate and maintain mailroom machines, such as postage meters and scanners.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of mailroom supplies.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal staff and external vendors.
- Track and log mail and package deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with other clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a mailroom or clerical position is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
