We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team. The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the mailroom, including sorting, delivering, and shipping mail and packages. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to ensuring timely and accurate mail distribution within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Process outgoing mail, including postage and delivery coordination.
- Manage and track internal and external mail requests and deliveries.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with office supply inventory and distribution.
- Ensure mailroom equipment is in good working order, such as postage meters and scanners.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external vendors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a mailroom or clerical role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency with computers and mail processing systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
