Package/Mail Screener at Tree of Life Products

Tree of Life Products is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Package/Mail Screener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and sorting incoming and outgoing mail and packages to ensure safety and compliance with company policies and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screening and Inspection:
  • Use X-ray machines and other screening equipment to inspect packages and mail for prohibited or dangerous items.
  • Manually inspect packages and mail as necessary.
• Sorting and Distribution:
  • Sort mail and packages according to destination and priority.
  • Distribute screened items to the appropriate departments or personnel.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of screened and sorted items.
  • Report any suspicious items or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations regarding mail and package handling.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in mail/package screening, security, or a related field preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to operate screening equipment.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
