Package/Mail Screener at Tree of Life Products

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for screening and inspecting packages and mail to ensure the safety and security of our facilities. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a secure environment by identifying and handling suspicious items according to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and inspect incoming and outgoing packages, mail, and other deliveries for potential threats or prohibited items.
• Use screening equipment such as X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security tools to examine packages.
• Identify suspicious packages or mail and follow appropriate procedures for handling, reporting, and escalating incidents.
• Maintain detailed records of screened items and any incidents encountered.
• Collaborate with security personnel and other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to safety.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized screening area.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, mailroom operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate screening equipment (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages as needed.
