Stockroom Utility Operator at Tree of Life Products

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Stockroom Utility Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized stockroom, managing inventory, and ensuring that all materials and supplies are readily available for production and operations. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our supply chain and requires someone who is efficient, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Receive, label, and store incoming materials, ensuring that all items are properly accounted for in the inventory system.
• Stockroom Organization: Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, ensuring that items are easily accessible and properly categorized.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick and prepare materials for production or shipping according to work orders and ensure timely delivery to the appropriate departments.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Record Keeping: Accurately log inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and stock adjustments, in the inventory management system.
• Cycle Counts: Participate in regular cycle counts and assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production, shipping, and purchasing teams to ensure that inventory levels meet operational needs.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, if certified.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory control environment is preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50) as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 regularly.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Regular exposure to moving machinery and moderate noise levels.
• Occasional work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
