The Stockroom Utility Operator will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our stockroom. This role includes managing inventory, organizing stock, and ensuring that materials are available to support production. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.
- Prepare and deliver materials to production areas as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Ensure the stockroom is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist in managing stockroom workflows to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support the production and operations team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or related environment preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
