We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stockroom Utility Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the stockroom, ensuring that inventory is properly stored, labeled, and accessible for production needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in stockroom or warehouse operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
- Accurately record and maintain inventory levels in the stockroom.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Prepare and deliver materials to production areas as needed.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly stockroom environment.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or related environment is preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficient in basic computer skills and inventory management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
