Volt Lines is a technology powered mobility platform aiming to solve urban mobility problems. We view empty seats in traffic as both the cause of the problem and its solution. There are more than 50,000 buses in Istanbul operating at 9% efficiency and we want to solve this problem. Making shuttle buses smarter, more efficient and dynamic, we create an alternative transportation network that can replace even car ownership. Companies and other institutions can benefit from the Volt Lines transportation network for the daily commute needs of their staff.
About Position
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Team Lead who is passionate about uncovering customer insights and delivering innovative marketing campaigns. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and you will generate strategies that grow market share and brand’s reputation, improve customer experience and drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Build the marketing function in Volt Lines (yeap, we came this far with no marketing function)
- Analyze how our brand is positioned in the market and crystalize targeted customer insights
- Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals, and strategies to match up to
- Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategies
- Lead creative development and create a motivating stimulus to get the target audience to “take action”
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Monitor market trends, research target markets, and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues
- Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency in communication
- Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
- Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices, and tactics
Requirements
- Proven working experience (3-5 years) as a Marketing or Brand Manager, associate marketing or brand manager, and/or other marketing roles
- Drive for results and leadership skills
- Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.
- Highly creative with the ability to think out of the box
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, ability to have tough conversations both internally and externally
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and marketing best practices
- Comfortable working with numbers, metrics, and spreadsheets
- Excellent command of the English language is a MUST
- Native command of the Turkish language (don't be like our CEO)
- Proven ability to handle agency communications
- BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field is a plus
- Proven track record managing creative and production agencies
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and do whatever is necessary (strong ownership of the business)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- You'll be working very closely with the CEO and the rest of the leadership team (function heads)
- Select/Hire/Manage all agencies responsible for content creation, SEO/SEM, performance marketing, visual production, public relations, and more
- Fully own communication to clients, end-users, and drivers at all touchpoints
- Coordinate marketing campaigns with operations (driver-focused across Istanbul and Ankara) and sales (corporate geo-focused)
- Meet customers and potential clients to generate insights
- Turn the 100’s of Volt Lines buses in traffic into the physical manifestation of the brand (you probably haven’t seen any of our buses yet, and that’s exactly why we need you!)
- Launch sub-brands such as Volt Lines DRT, which is a crucial enabler of corporate mobility in the new normal (hybrid work)
