What you’ll be doing
As the Social Media Assistant, you’ll help bring the brand’s online presence to life. You’ll support the wider marketing team with content planning, community engagement, campaign execution, and performance tracking.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the creation and scheduling of social media content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X
* Supporting the development of content calendars, campaign ideas, and daily posting schedules
* Writing engaging captions, short-form copy, and social media updates that match the brand voice
* Helping source, brief, and organise creative assets including images, videos, reels, stories, and graphics
* Monitoring social media channels, responding to comments and messages where required
* Tracking trends, competitor activity, viral formats, and platform updates
* Assisting with influencer, partnership, and community engagement initiatives
* Supporting paid and organic social media campaigns
* Pulling basic performance reports and identifying what content is working
* Working closely with marketing, design, content, and brand teams to keep everything aligned
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a 10-year social media veteran. You do need energy, curiosity, attention to detail, and a strong instinct for what makes content work online.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Some experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, or brand support
* A strong understanding of social media platforms and how people use them
* Good writing skills and the ability to adapt tone for different platforms
* A creative eye for visuals, layouts, video, and storytelling
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
* Confidence using tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, CapCut, Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms
* A good understanding of trends, hashtags, engagement tactics, and online communities
* Basic reporting skills and comfort working with social media analytics
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn quickly
* Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
Nice to have
* Experience creating Reels, TikToks, Stories, or short-form video content
* Basic design or video editing skills
* Experience in a fast-paced marketing, agency, retail, lifestyle, entertainment, iGaming, sports, tech, or consumer brand environment
* An interest in digital culture, online communities, and emerging content formats
