Walls Across Texas is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drywaller to join our team. We are a premier residential and commercial construction company that specializes in providing high-quality wall installation and repair services throughout the state of Texas. As a Drywaller, you will be responsible for installing and repairing drywall in various residential and commercial construction projects. You will work closely with our team of skilled craftsmen to deliver superior results that meet the highest standards of quality and durability. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut drywall to specified sizes and shapes
- Install drywall panels to walls and ceilings using nails, screws, and adhesive
- Smooth out joints and rough spots on panels using a trowel, sandpaper, or other tools
- Apply tape and sealing compound to cover joints between panels
- Patch, repair, and replace damaged or missing drywall panels
- Sand, prime, and apply finish coats to achieve a smooth and flawless surface
- Ensure that all safety guidelines and regulations are followed at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Drywaller or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to take accurate measurements
- Proficient in operating hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent physical stamina and hand-eye coordination
- Team player with good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
