Graphic Design Assistant at Watermark Books & Café

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Design Assistant to join our team at Watermark Books & Café. The ideal candidate must be eager to learn and grow in a creative and fast-paced environment. This position will support our Graphic Designer in producing high-quality and visually appealing designs for our marketing materials, social media, and merchandise. As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our brand's visual identity and be a part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in creating and designing print and digital marketing materials, such as flyers, posters and social media graphics,

- Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Marketing team to develop creative concepts and execute design layouts that align with our brand guidelines.

- Create promotional materials for events, book releases, and other in-store promotions.

- Assist with the design and production of merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, and more.

- Help with the management and organization of design assets and files.

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to enhance design quality and innovation.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in graphic design or related field.

- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or other design software.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of printing techniques and file preparation for print is a plus.

- A love for books, design, and creativity is a must!
