About You
We are a growing team of bright, ambitious individuals who are seeking like-minded candidates who can help us take our brand to the next level! We are looking for someone who can think outside of the box and isn’t afraid to push the envelope. The ideal candidate is an experienced merchant processing specialist with a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new opportunities / lines of business within the payments sector
- Manage and deepen relationships with key payment partners. Grow the business both by doing more with existing partners and securing new ones.
- Review and make recommendations to the COO regarding existing and new payment partners and contracts
- Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with other internal departments to successfully deliver Payment Services objectives.
- Prepare proposals, business cases, strategic documents and presentations as needed
- Develop a brand and marketing strategy including partner-focused compelling marketing content/assets
- Manage the ongoing success with payment processing partners.
- Find ways to approach and partner with processors, increasing retention and growing our customer base
- Participate in the development of future payment products and services that support
- Stay abreast of developments in technologies to ensure we are using and offering the most up-to-date options to merchants.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate contractual relationships with merchants
- Interact with third-party vendors as processes require, managing key accounts related to payment systems, methods, and optimization
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a merchant or B2B support role, preferably within a similar industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A solution orientated approach to problem solving
- Experience managing a team, providing training and support where appropriate
- Experience within a fast-paced growth organization is ideal
- High energy level, demonstrated drive to succeed, and comfortable with urgency
- Well-developed ability to build strong relationships, quickly establish credibility and collaborate across multiple internal and external teams
- Ability to quickly leverage tools and technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, Zoho CRM, and Jira
- Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
- Experience with researching software/hardware, contacting manufacturers/distributors, negotiating pricing, and setting up drop shipping
- Ability to communicate with development staff, distribute conversations to credible sources, coordinate meetings and project manage
- Entrepreneurial mind-set/experience in a start-up is considered an asset as we are planning a large-scale transition
- Experience transitioning full businesses between platforms
- Familiarity with PCI firms
