We’re Wriggle - an award-winning app that helps people discover and purchase from the best local restaurants, cafes, bars and streetfood. We’re our users’ guide to discovering their cities through amazing local food & drink - and our partner restaurants’ way of driving footfall and negotiating the tricky world of online marketing, to make it a joyful (and profitable!) experience.
Think the opposite of Deliveroo - where Deliveroo delivers food to people, Wriggle is delivering people into local restaurants.
It's an exciting time at Wriggle as we embark on a journey across the country, having just launched in Birmingham in September 2019.
We’re looking for a dynamic, ambitious and results-driven business development managers to own Wriggle’s performance in one of Birmingham, Bristol or Cardiff, and ensure that city flourishes and grows over the next few years. We will take applications from from each city, and the successful candidate will be allocated the city relevant to their application.
The role will be hands-on and entrepreneurial. You will need to roll up your sleeves to develop new business (local restaurants, cafes and bars), and help existing partners to improve their performance, as well as owning the performance of the business unit.
Preferably, the candidate will know the city and food scene of the city they're applying for, but be based in our Bristol office with the rest of the team - (and should they be applying for Birmingham or Cardiff, travel to that city once or twice a week to meet partners). However, we will also welcome applications from Birmingham or Cardiff-based candidates who have experience of working remotely.
Key functions include:
The right candidate will have buckets of energy, excellent organisation skills, alongside a love of Birmingham, Bristol or Cardiff and its food scene (or – if you don’t know the food scene yet – a passion to get to know it!). We want someone ambitious, who wants to grow with Wriggle.
