Glassware Decorator in the Cannabis Industry (South Austin) at 420 Science

We're hiring for the position of Glassware Decorator at 420 Science!

We're looking for someone able to work 35-40 hours a week with some flexibility depending on demand. You must have a reliable form of transportation and be able to come in on a set schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

- Creating a list of jars to make by utilizing reports generated through our inventory management system.

- Pulling jars from raw inventory and loading them onto a cart to transport to the decaling area (some lifting required - up to 20 lbs).

- Cutting decals from large sheets into smaller groups using a paper cutter and scissors.

- Organizing decals and keeping track of decal inventory.

- Applying the correct size decals onto the correct size jars in an efficient manner. The goal will be to make 300 jars/day.

Attention to detail is a must:

- You'll be cutting multiple sheets of decals at once, if they're not aligned and you cut in the wrong place, they have to be thrown away.

- If you put the wrong size decal onto a jar, we can't sell it.

- The decal has to be applied straight and all air bubbles must be squeegeed out. A good eye for these things is vital.

- This work is very repetitive. The ability to maintain focus over a long period of time is very important.

Expectations:

- Within 30 days, you should be decorating at least 50 jars per hour

- Within 30 days, at least 97% of your jars should pass quality control

- This is a full time position during regular business hours (9am - 6pm with some flexibility)

FYI:

The job can be a bit monotonous. If you're not good at sitting still and doing the same thing hundreds of times per day, this isn't the job for you. On the plus side, you can listen to music or audiobooks while you work (with headphones), you can dress how you like, and we have a positive workplace culture.
