As we scale our insights platform, we’re looking for a Data Scientist who thrives on building robust analytical pipelines and high-trust datasets that power internal teams and client outcomes.
The Role
You will own the analytical backbone of our platform and insight delivery. This means turning raw data — whether market research, commercial, behavioural, or product data — into clean, reliable, reusable datasets and metrics that drive dashboards, client deliverables, and product decisions.
This role is not focused on training machine learning models. It is centred on data preparation, analytics, and insight enablement in real business contexts.
What You’ll Do
Analytics Pipelines & Data Modelling
Build and maintain scalable pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and structuring research, commercial, behavioural, and product data.
Develop reproducible analytical datasets that power internal dashboards and client insight outputs.
Write and maintain dbt models and SQL transformations for consistent, well-documented data logic.
Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring to ensure reliability and trust.
Insight Analytics
Translate stakeholder questions into clear analytical definitions, metrics, and views.
Produce recurring insight outputs: trends, segment comparisons, cohort cuts, distribution views, respondent/customer profiling, and theme frequency tracking.
Support ad-hoc analytical deep dives for product, research, and client teams.
Standardise insight definitions across studies and datasets to enable comparability over time.
Reporting & Enablement
Build reporting layers and self-serve analytics tools so teams can explore data confidently.
Define and monitor KPIs for platform health, insight quality, and client outcomes.
Present findings in a clear, structured way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering and data teams to improve warehouse/lakehouse structure, performance, and observability.
Work with research, product, and client teams to ensure analytics align with qualitative standards and commercial needs.
Support client-facing work with robust, explainable data cuts and evidence.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, BI, or research data roles.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and analytical datasets end-to-end.
Experience with dbt (or similar transformation tooling).
Comfort working with messy real-world data across multiple sources and types.
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate ambiguous questions into rigorous analytical outputs.
Bonus Points
Experience with market research, consumer insights, or behavioural datasets.
Familiarity with AWS/Azure data tooling (S3/ADLS, Athena/Synapse, Glue/Data Factory, etc.).
Experience with MongoDB or document-based data stores.
Dashboarding experience (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, Mode, Metabase, etc.).
Startup experience or comfort with fast iteration environments.
