Job Title: Sales Floor Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Floor Assistant to join our team in Belfast. In this role, you will assist with daily sales operations, support customer service efforts, and ensure that the sales floor is well-organized and inviting. Your contributions will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering their questions, and helping with product selections.
- Maintain the sales floor by organizing merchandise, setting up displays, and ensuring that shelves are stocked and visually appealing.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving and unpacking shipments, conducting stock counts, and managing stock replenishment.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges in accordance with store policies, aiming to resolve issues effectively and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales floor activities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers.
- Support promotional events and sales initiatives by setting up displays, updating signage, and engaging with customers to drive sales.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure smooth store operations.
- Assist with managing fitting rooms, including tidying up and organizing merchandise.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new products, company policies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm for retail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
