Workshop Technician - Groundcare - Suffolk -Basic Salary Circa £29,000

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join a team in Newmarket, responsible for servicing and repairing ground care machinery. As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of equipment used in grounds maintenance, such as ride-on mowers, chainsaws, strimmer's, and blowers.

The Candidate:

Carrying out routine servicing and repairs of grounds maintenance equipment to a high standard, in line with manufacturer guidelines

Conducting thorough diagnostics on machinery, identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs

Carrying out preventative maintenance on equipment, identifying and replacing worn or damaged parts before they cause problems

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of grounds maintenance machinery.

Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

A full driving license is essential, as occasional site visits may be required

A relevant qualification in mechanics or engineering would be an advantage, although training will be provided
