Role Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified, dual‑certified Emergency Medicine and Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our high‑acuity emergency department. The role requires expertise in managing both adult and pediatric emergencies, delivering rapid, evidence‑based care, and contributing to clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma, resuscitation, and high‑acuity presentations.
- Lead rapid assessment, stabilization, and critical decision‑making in emergency scenarios.
- Perform advanced emergency procedures (airway management, resuscitation, trauma interventions, and pediatric life support).
- Collaborate with pediatrics, ICU, surgery, radiology, and other specialties to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in pediatric emergency pathways, safeguarding protocols, and family‑centered care.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
- Support the development of clinical guidelines, pathways, and emergency care standards.
- Participate in on‑call and shift‑based duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification / CCT in Emergency Medicine.
- Additional Board Certification / Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in [Insert Country/Region].
- Demonstrated experience in high‑volume emergency departments.
- Certification in ALS, ATLS, and PALS/APLS.
