Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Oncologist with expertise in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing pediatric cancers and hematologic disorders, with a focus on BMT procedures, while contributing to clinical excellence, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat pediatric oncology and hematology conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumors
- Perform and oversee autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants
- Lead multidisciplinary case reviews and develop individualized treatment plans
- Supervise junior physicians and fellows in pediatric oncology and BMT protocols
- Ensure compliance with international standards of care and hospital policies
- Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and CME activities
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding treatment options and post-transplant care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board Certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship training in Pediatric BMT is mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric oncology and BMT
- Eligibility for DOH/HAAD licensure in the UAE
- Western-trained candidates preferred (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
