🎯 Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Gastroenterologist to join a leading hospital in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in diagnosing and managing digestive system disorders, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and culturally sensitive communication.
 

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and peptic ulcers 
• Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy 
• Interpret diagnostic tests including imaging, lab results, and biopsies 
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, including emergency GI assessments 
• Collaborate with dietitians, surgeons, and radiologists for integrated care 
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with MOH regulations 
• Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and departmental quality improvement initiatives 
• Deliver patient education and support for lifestyle and dietary management
 

📋 Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree from a recognized institution 
• Specialist certification in Gastroenterology (e.g., Arab Board, MRCP, or equivalent) 
• Minimum 5 years post-specialization experience in a hospital or specialty clinic 
• UAE MOH license or eligibility required 
• Fluent in Arabic and/or English preferred 
• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills 
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
