As a Consultant Cardiac Anesthesia, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered anesthesia care to a diverse population of patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will work closely with our team of cardiac surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective anesthesia management before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will play a key role in the care of high-risk patients, using your expertise to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing pre-anesthesia consultation, evaluating patients' medical histories, and developing anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Administering and monitoring anesthesia during cardiac procedures, making appropriate adjustments to medications and equipment as needed.

• Overseeing the post-operative recovery of patients, including pain management and monitoring for potential complications.

• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.

• Educating and mentoring junior staff, including residents and nurses, on best practices for cardiac anesthesia.

Requirements:

• Medical degree and board certification in anesthesia from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Cardiac Anesthesia.

• Experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery center.

• Strong understanding of current cardiac anesthesia techniques, including knowledge of advanced monitoring and pharmacological agents.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in speaking and writing in English.

• Candidates must have a UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Board, or an equivalent certification
