Position Summary:
As a Consultant Neonatologist, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the neonatal services at our facility in Dubai. Your role will involve providing advanced medical care to premature and critically ill newborns, while also overseeing and mentoring a team of medical professionals. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives within the neonatal department to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical care to premature and critically ill newborns, including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of conditions
- Oversee and mentor a team of medical professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and allied health staff
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the neonatal department
- Collaborate with other departments and medical professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients
- Participate in daily rounds, interdisciplinary meetings, and clinical audits to evaluate patient progress and outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as referring physicians and community organizations
- Keep abreast of latest developments and advancements in neonatal medicine and participate in relevant conferences and workshops
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the neonatal department
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Contribute to the overall strategic planning and growth of the organization
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completed residency and fellowship in Neonatology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Neonatologist, preferably in a leadership role
- Valid and active medical license in the UAE
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in English, additional language proficiency is an asset
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients and their families
- Must hold Western education or experience
