Position Overview:
As a consultant neurosurgeon specializing in epilepsy surgery, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of patients with epilepsy. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, as well as providing guidance and support to junior doctors and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with epilepsy, including utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques such as EEG and MRI.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, including surgical intervention and medication management.
- Collaborating with other specialists such as neurologists, neuropsychologists, and radiologists to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Performing complex and specialized surgeries to treat epilepsy, including craniotomies and stereotactic procedures.
- Conducting follow-up appointments with patients to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Participating in research and academic activities to enhance knowledge and contribute to the advancement of the field.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Neurosurgery
- Completion of fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Neurosurgeon, with a focus on Epilepsy Surgery
- Extensive knowledge and experience with advanced diagnostic techniques and surgical procedures for epilepsy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
