Job Title: Consultant Ophthalmologist (Medical Retina/Cataract)—Dubai

Job Overview:

As a consultant ophthalmologist (medical retina/cataract), you will be responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients with disorders of the eye, specifically in the areas of medical retina and cataract. You will play a vital role in the team and will be involved in diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of eye-related conditions. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct consultations, diagnose, and treat patients with disorders of the eye, particularly in the areas of medical retina and cataract.

- Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgery and vitreoretinal procedures.

- Utilize various diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess patient conditions.

- Manage and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality regulations.

- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of ophthalmology and incorporate them into practice.

- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

- Participate in academic activities, including medical conferences, journal clubs, and teaching sessions.

Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution.

- Board certification in ophthalmology.

- Fellowship training in medical retina and/or cataract surgery.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant ophthalmologist in a reputable healthcare facility.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken). 

- Knowledge of Arabic is must.
