Position Summary:
As a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries and disorders of the shoulder. This includes both surgical and non-surgical interventions, as well as preoperative and postoperative care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shoulder surgery and a proven track record of successfully performing a wide range of procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose patients' conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, including both surgical and non-surgical options.
- Perform surgical procedures, such as arthroscopic surgeries, rotator cuff repairs, and total shoulder replacements, with a high level of precision and skill.
- Provide thorough and compassionate care to patients, including preoperative and postoperative management.
- Oversee and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and anesthesiologists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in shoulder surgery through continuing education and research efforts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation and coding of patient records in compliance with hospital and insurance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, with a focus on shoulder surgery.
- Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship training in shoulder surgery highly preferred.
- Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills, with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Strong leadership and team player qualities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
