We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Pain Management to join the esteemed hospital in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating chronic pain conditions, utilizing advanced techniques and multidisciplinary approaches to improve patient outcomes.
As a consultant in pain management, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pain management services to patients in our state-of-the-art facilities. You will work closely with a team of specialists to develop and implement treatment plans, provide patient education, and ensure high-quality care is delivered to all individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with chronic pain conditions, including physical examinations and review of medical history.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, utilizing various intervention techniques such as medications, injections, and physical therapy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques and strategies to improve their quality of life.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and research activities to improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Stay abreast of new developments and advancements in pain management by attending conferences and workshops and through self-directed learning.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in pain management (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Western-trained education or experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pain management, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
