Position Overview:
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our warehouse. This position involves handling a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, and distributing products, as well as maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of product quantities and quality.
- Organize and store products in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and tracking.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed, including restocking, labeling, and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and protocols.
