Position Overview:
The Warehouse Helper plays a vital role in our warehouse operations, assisting with the receipt, storage, and distribution of products. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to the efficiency of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in unloading incoming shipments and verifying their accuracy against purchase orders.
- Organize and store products in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Help maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Assist with loading trucks for outgoing deliveries.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
