Autism Delaware is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Receptionist to join our team in our Lewes, DE office . The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming experience while performing general office support duties.

 

This is a Part-Time position, 20hrs weekly, Monday – Thursday.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Understand and Support the Agency’s Mission and Treatment Philosophy

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity toward participants, families, and coworkers.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of the backgrounds, strengths, and needs of participants and families.
  • Serve as a liaison with the community, representing the agency’s mission and commitment to
    respectful and dignified treatment.

 

Perform General Administrative Duties

  • Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory, ordering when necessary.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and office events.
  • Handle basic data entry, filing, and document organization.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment.
  • Support staff with administrative tasks as needed (e.g., copying, scanning, and preparing documents, projects).
  • Point of contact for office equipment, janitorial, and outdoor contractors.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with office equipment (e.g., copiers, printers) and computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
