Key Responsibilities
- Financial Records Management:
- Maintain immaculate financial records and reporting systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Balance Sheet & System Reconciliations:
- Lead end-to-end reconciliations for balance sheets, revenue streams, expenses, and cash flow.
- Monthly and Annual Closures:
- Drive the monthly close process and prepare accurate journal entries and financial reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Programs Operations and Program Management Teams to improve accounting processes and workflow integration.
- Taxation and Compliance:
- Work with auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors for timely filing of statutory returns.
- Audit Leadership:
- Manage annual and periodic audits with calm authority and absolute preparedness.
- Innovation in Accounting Practices:
- Research and implement accounting best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Mentorship and Development:
- Support and mentor interns and junior staff to foster a culture of learning and excellence.
Must-Haves
- Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with exposure to non-profit financial systems.
- Progress towards Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) qualification (completed or in final stages).
- Proven experience handling financial audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance.
- Prior work in fast-paced, growth-stage organisations is highly desirable.
- Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Tally accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance teams.
- High ethical standards, discretion, and a mission-driven mindset.

Location
- This role (In-office role) is based in Bangalore, Karnataka. Candidates must be based here or willing to relocate.
Employment Type
- Full-time (Monday to Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm)
