We are looking for a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our clients’ advisory firm, which specializes in fractional CFO services, M&A advisory, and Private Equity. Companies often engage their CEO as an interim CFO to prepare for mergers, acquisitions, and investments, or to lead complex projects involving multiple firms. The successful candidate will collaborate with the CEO and the Senior Financial Analyst to develop financial models, conduct analysis, create client presentations, and assist with financial reporting. This role provides a unique chance to work closely with the founder, who is a seasoned finance professional and will advance into a more senior role over time.
- Part-time: 15-20 hours per week (will grow into a full-time position)

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining complex financial models.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and data interpretation.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed spreadsheets and reports.
- Create compelling presentations using PowerPoint to communicate insights and strategies to clients.
- Assist in financial reporting and the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial documents.
- Collaborate on M&A, private equity, and venture capital projects.
- Apply a basic legal understanding of different types of companies and international structures to analyses.
- Continuously seek to understand the business to provide commercial insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.
- Intermediate proficiency in financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, numbers, balance sheets, and P&L statements.
- Highly experienced with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Basic legal understanding of various corporate structures and international business operations.
- Commercially minded with a strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable speaking with clients.
- A proactive and diligent work ethic, demonstrating the highest levels of integrity and reliability.
- CFA certification (plus).
