Our client is a dynamic, UK-based, clothing company redefining swimwear and empowering women with their trend-forward designs. As their operations expand, their merchandising team needs additional support to manage communications, inventory, and supplier coordination. We’re looking for a highly proactive and assertive Merchandising Assistant to assist our client’s Merchandiser and ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
- Part time: 20 hours per week
- 100% remote job / independent contractor
- Working hours: Manila Time (GMT+8)
- Monthly Starting Salary: $240 (can be higher, depending on candidate’s level of experience)
Responsibilities
- Assist the Merchandiser in managing profit margins, analyzing product performance, and overseeing inventory.
- Stay on top of supplier communications, especially with international partners, to ensure timely responses and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times, orders, and deliveries, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Help track and analyze inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock management to meet demand.
- Assist with data entry, purchase orders, and updating systems to reflect current inventory and supplier details.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to optimize product listings and stock management on e-commerce platforms.
- Provide support in sourcing materials and negotiating prices to maintain profitability.
Required Skills
- Highly proactive and assertive, with a "get-things-done" attitude, especially when following up with suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay on top of deadlines.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify) and an understanding of how to optimize them from a business perspective.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Previous experience in merchandising or a related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with numbers and product details.
