Purpose of the role:
This is an internal vacancy. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights using Power BI.
- Work closely with the Data Engineer to define, agree, and optimise data flows that support efficient reporting and analytics.
- Establish and manage a data governance process to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain and update dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance metrics.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data, performing quality checks and addressing any discrepancies.
- Assist in developing documentation and procedures for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data.
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support for business units across the organisation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in data analytics, governance, and BI tools.
Essential Requirements for the Role:
- 1-2 years of experience in a data analytics or similar role.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including creating complex reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of data flows, databases, and collaboration with Data Engineers.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical details to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in establishing or contributing to data governance processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with SQL or similar query languages
