Job Summary:

Buncombe Street Methodist Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sunday School Teacher to join our growing community. As a Sunday School Teacher, you will have the opportunity to guide and inspire children in their faith journey while helping them to develop a deeper understanding and connection to God. We are looking for individuals who have a heart for children and a strong commitment to teaching the word of God in a fun and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement Sunday school lessons for children ages 5-12

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and cultures

• Utilize various teaching methods to engage children and help them understand biblical principles

• Incorporate fun and interactive activities to make learning about God exciting

• Nurture and encourage children in their relationship with God and each other

• Participate in regular meetings with other Sunday School teachers for collaboration and support

• Attend special church events and activities as needed

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in Sunday school classes

Qualifications:

• Active member of Buncombe Street Methodist Church preferred

• Strong understanding and knowledge of the Bible and Methodist beliefs

• Previous experience teaching Sunday school or working with children preferred

• Ability to communicate and connect with children of all ages

• Enthusiasm for teaching and sharing the love of God with children

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible

• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others

• Must pass background check and adhere to church policies and procedures
