• Position: Consultant / Specialist Geriatric Medicine Physician
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited)
• Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post board certification
• Clinical Scope: Comprehensive geriatric assessment, chronic disease management, rehabilitation, and long-term care
The successful candidate will provide specialised care for elderly patients, focusing on improving functional status, quality of life, and multidisciplinary care coordination.

• MD / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

• Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments, including functional, cognitive, psychological, and social evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage complex medical conditions in elderly patients, including multimorbidity, frailty, and polypharmacy.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans focusing on long-term health, rehabilitation, and quality of life.
• Manage chronic diseases such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and social workers.
• Provide falls risk assessment, mobility management, and rehabilitation planning.
• Support end-of-life care, palliative care, and advanced care planning discussions.
• Optimise medication management and address polypharmacy risks in elderly patients.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, geriatric care standards, and hospital protocols.
