Centurions Michigan is searching to fill the position of Volunteer Recruiter. This is an unpaid volunteer position that reports to the Administration Manager. The minimum hours for this position is 5 hours a week. This position requires the alignment of the organization’s purpose, mission and values, additional knowledge, skills and abilities which are as follows:

To serve and protect those who can not serve and protect themselves, to be an advocate of liberty through action and education.

To educate the community on human trafficking and aid law enforcement on all levels to identify, rescue and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking.

About the Administration Team:
The Administration leadership team maintains program excellence through the development of viable interdisciplinary teams and partnerships. We directly support all directorates of Centurions Michigan while playing a pivotal role in guiding and managing the placement of new team members. We provide recruiting, onboarding, off boarding, leadership, planning, monitoring, and quality assurance of the Administration procedural processes.
Job Description:
We are looking for a competent Volunteer Recruiter to support departmental planning recruiting, onboarding, off-boarding and monitoring the recruiting progress. They will also assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department along with conducting orientations for new team members. They will work with the Administration Manager to coordinate and supervise daily operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Identifying future hiring needs
Assist with designing job descriptions
Sourcing candidates through databases and social media
Assist with conducting interviews
Assist with conducting orientations
Filing paperwork
Keep abreast of employment law and legislation
Conduct background checks (utilizing iCHAT)
Attend hiring events and job fairs (if necessary)
Requirements
Understanding of the issue, or willingness to learn, about human trafficking
Alignment with Centurions’ purpose, mission, vision and values
Writing and typing skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Google Drive cloud file organization and storage
Experience with tracking the recruiting process
Non-profit experience (preferred but not required)
Must reside in the state of Michigan
