As a Career Readiness Instructor at Concorde Education, you will play a crucial role in preparing students for the professional world. Your efforts will help students build their resumes, develop job readiness and professionalism, master interview skills, and explore potential career pathways. This role is vital in shaping students' futures by equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed in their chosen career fields.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Curriculum: Create and deliver a career readiness curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of the students.
  • Lead Sessions: Conduct sessions that teach students essential skills such as resume building, job readiness, professionalism, and interview techniques.
  • Foster Learning Environment: Promote a safe, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Assess and Provide Feedback: Evaluate students' skills and offer constructive feedback to guide their development.
  • Track Student Progress: Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Facilitate regular communication with educational stakeholders regarding student performance and program updates.

Major Duties

  • Curriculum Development: Develop lesson plans and learning modules that incorporate key career readiness elements such as collaboration, strategy, and problem-solving.
  • Classroom Instruction: Lead engaging and interactive classes, ensuring that each student benefits from the educational experience.
  • Student Assessment: Regularly evaluate student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Community Building: Create a classroom environment that encourages teamwork, fair play, and respect among students.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessment results, and feedback, and submit reports as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Instructional Skills: Ability to design and implement an engaging and educational curriculum that is age-appropriate.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
