Role Definition
We are a leading supplier of PAYG SIMs and Mobile Accessories into the independent and national retail sectors. We have seen rapid growth over recent years and have plans to continue driving the business forward through the introduction of new categories, products and services.
We are looking for a hands-on Account Manager. The key responsibility for this role is to take ownership of managing and growing business with both our mobile network operator and key national retail (non-independent) accounts. A large element of the role is the day to day working with the partners in both the preparation and execution of marketing and sales initiatives to generate new business from the accounts and to ensure it is easy to work with, delivering operational excellence to its partners. You will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to determine, pitch and execute the marketing and sales strategies to maximise revenue from these accounts, and with Operations and Customer Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage key network and retail accounts including merchandising campaigns and training of the Core Sales team to ensure revenue and margin growth within each account.
- Develop trusting and long-standing relationships with Companies key network and retail accounts to drive revenue and margin within each account. Communication and accountability are key traits required.
- Act as a key point of contact for companies key network and retail accounts; consistently understanding and meeting their requirements.
- Identify opportunities within companies key retail accounts for new products and services to help drive revenue and margin in each account.
- Identify any issues within key network and retail accounts and apply successful solutions to resolve problems.
- Ensure key network and retail accounts receive a high standard of service in order to maintain companiess excellent market reputation.
- Provide regular reporting on activities within each key network and retail account both internally and externally as required.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in account management and business development (preferable experience has been gained managing and developing large corporate accounts)
- Deliver to deadlines.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent understanding of sales and marketing principals & practice
- Strong presentation skills preferably with experience presenting to key stakeholders within large businesses.
- Strong negotiation skills preferably with experience negotiating with key stakeholders.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness
- Ability to forge and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within accounts.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint,)
