Dexerto is seeking a talented and tenacious Business Development Representative with a passion for developing new business opportunities and leads. This is a remote role, for somebody based in the UK (London UK/North West UK areas preferred). 
 

As Business Development Executive your goal will be to identify, generate and nurture new leads to accelerate pipeline and support on elevating Dexerto’s brand presence within the Digital media landscape across the UK and USA. You’ll work closely alongside the Head of Sales and global sales team taking full responsibility for building immediate and long-term relationships with brands and agencies, helping to drive revenue opportunities for the business.
 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Business Development/BDR, Sales Development/SDR or associated roles, where they can leverage their skills and knowledge to support Dexerto. We will heavily take into account any candidate who has experience within Digital Media, selling into Media/Marketing Agencies and/or major brands.


A passion and knowledge for the gaming and/or entertainment industries will be highly advantageous in this role. As will an understanding of the media/advertising agency landscape.

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for lead generation of new and existing clients, working alongside the global sales team to set up and help pitch to media agencies and brands
  • Strategically identify relevant leads and identify new ways to reach prospective clients
  • Maintaining and nurturing a pipeline of opportunities and contacts
  • Establish and maintain an excellent relationship with clients and partners
  • Represent Dexerto with a high level of integrity and knowledge and act as a resource for clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams globally across product, content, sales, marketing, media planning, and creative.
  • Ability to learn new systems and platforms quickly to keep up with the evolving digital media landscape.


 

Job Requirements:
 

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role (experience on the agency-side or publisher side is a bonus)
  • Possess an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of either of esports, gaming and influencer cultures
  • Demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally.
  • Strong desire to win, and to continually develop their personal and professional skills.
  • Passionate and positive, with an eager attitude to learn and succeed
  • Proactive with ideas, improvements, criticisms/feedback and solutions
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Digital Media and Agency/brand relationships is a bonus
