Dexerto is seeking a talented freelance Anime writer to cover the likes of Dragon Ball, Rise of the Shield Hero and the biggest Netflix shows. This is a remote role that is available on a 3-month contract.
This is a job for a passionate writer who is able to increase our anime coverage. We're looking for writers who can expand our coverage from One Piece. My Hero Academia and Jujitsu Kaisen to Dragon Ball and some of the biggest anime that is coming to Netflix, including Pluto, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, Delicious in Dungeon, Beastars S4, Tomb Raider, and Devil May Cry.
As well as being an anime enthisiast, knowledge of manga would be advantageous.
You will stay on top of the latest news and trends in order to produce daily content for the site, and you will also be able to plan and write features, reviews, lists, and explainers. You will also be expected to sub copy,
Experience of news and feature writing is desirable as is some SEO knowledge.
Requirements:
- Understanding and knowledge of anime, plus TV and movies
- Great news and feature writing skills
- SEO knowledge desirable
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail – able to spot grammatical errors and formatting mistakes
- Great communication skills – able to take instruction and keep various members of the team updated on progress
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop or similar programs
- Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
- Experience with Google Sheets and content management systems, and photo editing skills
