Dexerto is looking for a Freelance Gacha Games Writer to join our Editorial team on a rolling monthly contract. This is a fully remote contractor position open to candidates based in Asia. English fluency is essential.

You will be responsible for creating and updating guide content for Dexerto’s gacha game coverage. The role will begin with guides for Arknights: Endfield, before potentially progressing onto additional gacha titles over time. Our aim is to provide clear, reliable, and up-to-date guides that help players understand game systems, characters, and progression.
Your main responsibilities will include writing new guides using existing templates, updating content as games receive patches or new content, researching in-game mechanics, and ensuring all guides remain accurate, well-structured, and easy to follow.
This freelance assignment sits within our Editorial team. You will be managed by our Games Editor and you will work closely with senior staff to meet content standards and deadlines.
Candidates should be comfortable working in WordPress, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Slack for daily communication. Full training will be provided on content formats, templates, and editorial standards.
Requirements
- Good writing skills in English
- Strong familiarity with gacha games (e.g. Arknights, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, etc.)
- Strong organization and time management
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear communication and openness to feedback
- Own computing equipment suitable for writing and research
- Ability to commit consistent weekly hours
- Some writing or guides creation experience preferred
