Dexerto is looking for a freelance journalist to write about Lego.
As well as a passion for Lego, writing experience for a website or print publication is essential as you will be writing news, lists and covering the latest deals. So you need to be up to date with all new Lego products and be able to find the best deals at major retailers.
Knowledge of pop culture will be advantageous as you will be writing about Lego that is related to TV, movie, and video game franchises.
You will also need SEO knowledge and experience to ensure that any articles we produce get maximum visibility.
A knowledge of affiliate link content would be an advantage, though training is available internally.
Requirements:
- Writing experience
- Knowledge of Lego
- Knowledge of the places people buy merchandise and toys in the United States
- SEO knowledge
- Good organization and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail – able to spot grammatical errors and formatting mistakes
- Great communication skills – able to take instruction and keep various members of the team updated on progress
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop or similar programs
- Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
- Experience with Google Sheets and content management systems, and photo editing skills
