The Role

Dexerto is looking for a Head of Social to lead platform strategy, performance, and execution across the entire social portfolio.
This role is responsible for setting direction, driving measurable audience growth, and ensuring Dexerto’s social output is fast, smart, brand-safe, and consistently best-in-class. You’ll sit at the intersection of editorial, production, and commercial teams; translating data into strategies that materially increase follower growth, reach, engagement, and monetisation.


We are specifically looking for someone who has personally driven and scaled high-growth social media accounts or channels, with a track record of accelerating audience expansion, improving platform performance, and unlocking new revenue opportunities.


This is not a purely managerial role — we want someone who enjoys being hands-on, close to the content, close to the platforms, and close to the data. You should be as comfortable setting strategy as you are jumping into analytics, optimising posts, testing formats, or stepping in to support execution when needed.


 

What You Will Do

  • Own and lead the social platform strategy across all Dexerto brands, ensuring each platform has a clear purpose, audience focus, and aggressive growth roadmap.
  • Develop and execute scalable frameworks that drive follower acquisition, reach expansion, and engagement growth across platforms.
  • Actively analyse performance data and implement real-time optimisation strategies.
  • Identify, test and optimise high-performing formats to maximise algorithmic distribution.
  • Be accountable for audience growth targets, engagement KPIs, and monetisation performance.
  • Oversee monetisation and revenue generated through AVOD and platform-native opportunities.
  • Work closely with editorial, production, and commercial teams to align social output with wider company objectives.
  • Stay hands-on with platform publishing, experimentation, and optimisation when required.
  • Regularly report on growth performance, highlighting wins, learnings, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Step in to plug gaps across platforms when required, ensuring continuity of output.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience scaling and growing large social media accounts or channels, with demonstrable results (e.g. significant follower growth, reach expansion, engagement uplift, revenue growth).
  • A genuine passion for being hands-on with content, distribution, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience leading social strategy and performance for high-growth media, publisher, or creator-led brands.
  • A strong track record of building and executing growth strategies across multiple platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of platform mechanics, distribution, algorithm optimisation, and audience acquisition.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable growth decisions.
  • Experience working in fast-moving, news-driven or entertainment environments.
  • Strong communicator who can align teams, influence stakeholders, and drive performance culture.
