Dexerto are looking for a Senior Anime Writer to deliver news, features, reviews and recaps on the biggest anime shows and movies.
In addition to writing, we are also looking for someone who can plan our coverage using trending topics and the biggest search terms. Therefore, we need a writer who is has experience of writing about anime, but also has SEO knowledge. As many new episodes are released at weekends, it is a role that will require the successful candidate to work at weekends.
The right candidate will know everything there is to know about the biggest anime shows, such as One Piece, Jujitsu Kaisen, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Solo Leveling and many more. Knowledge of manga is also highly desirable.
You will stay on top of the latest news and trends in order to produce daily content for the site, and you will also be able to plan and write features, interviews, reviews and recaps. You will also be expected to sub copy,
Requirements:
- Understanding and knowledge of anime
- Great news and feature writing skills
- SEO knowledge
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail – able to spot grammatical errors and formatting mistakes
- Great communication skills – able to take instruction and keep various members of the team updated on progress
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop or similar programs
- Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
- Experience with Google Sheets and content management systems, and photo editing skills
