Dexerto is looking for a talented full-time writer who can specialize in Sports and Racing Video Games to provide editorial coverage for our sister site CharlieIntel.com. This is a remote role so you will be working from your home in Asia, and some weekend work may be required.
You should be an ambitious writer who is able to source and write compelling stories that will appeal to fans of sports games such as FIFA, NBA 2K, MLB: The Show, as well as racing games, including F1, Need for Speed, Gran Turismo and Forza
You need to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of sports and racing games and the trending topics about them. We would love to hear about any other games you play within your cover letter, too.
Some knowledge of SEO is desirable.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of sports and racing games, including FIFA, American sports titles, F1 and Forza.
- Broader knowledge of gaming and gaming culture
- A snappy and compelling writing style
- Able to write to short deadlines under pressure
- Have a keen attention to detail – can spot grammatical errors and fact check.
- Able to act independently on writing tasks
- Is confident with social media
- SEO knowledge is desirable but not essential
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop and be able to use it competently
- Experience with content management systems is desirable
- Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
