dnata Erbil are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and qualified team member to join our Finance Team.
A successful Finance Assistant will Support the Accounting department by performing assigned tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, communications with customers and suppliers and other duties, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the company's and group financial policies and procedures
- Prepare invoices and statements to customers per agreements
- Resolving customer’s queries in context to billing
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status and timely follow up for payments
- Cash handling at main finance office, reconciliation of daily cash collections by cashiers and update daily cash details in accounting System.
- Receive and verify invoices from suppliers, follow P2P process
- Monthly supplier reconciliation and securing balance confirmation from parties
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
- Timely closure of month end accounts and support management reporting needs
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
- Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.
- Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace
- Ensure knowledge of policies and procedures are understood and followed with respect to their position.
- Maintain recurrent training and competences.

Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (12+3 years of education or equivalent)
- 2 to 3 years of experience in finance or accounting (Finance Assistant/ Cashier)
- Experience in Accounting software use
- Proficiency in the use of office automation software like Excel, Word, Power point to be able to prepare, analyse and present reports.
- Knowledge in Airport Operations or related aviation industry is not necessary but ideal.
