Responsibilities:
- To respond to internal and external handling/operational requests making sure that proper allocation of equipment and manpower can be provided.
- To communicate with Ground services, Airlines, ATC, Airport Security and other Airport departments to ensure smooth operations.
- To monitor allocated resources for both staff and equipment on shift in line with the business needs, service level agreements, and the allocation plan.
- To keep detailed records of operations and ensure that reports are submitted to relevant departments, airlines and regulatory bodies.
- Log all flight activities to ensure awareness amongst all operational departments and in support of monthly reports to support trend analysis.
- Adapts the staffing allocation plan to ensure the completion of tasks can be completed safely and efficiently as the operation demands.
- Publishes the Daily Flight Plan (DFP) ensuring accuracy to all fields.
- Coordinates with the operational shift in charge and exchanges the required information to respond to the dynamic changes during the shift (i.e. staff sickness /absence).
- Deals with new and existing customer requests and advises what is required from the customer in order for the necessary approvals to be obtained.
- Supports the Operations Controller to ensure the smooth running of the shift and that all required updates are shared with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicates with key stakeholders internally and externally to provide them with the required information for service
- Work with dnata Quality Department to ensure compliance with new procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Implements day-to-day operations assigned and ensures compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Provide updates to the team regarding flight status, particularly exceptions such as events that may impact OTP, schedule changes, ad-hoc requests, and cancellations.
- Makes appropriate updates in required systems (Dynamics/AMS/GODB).
- Manages real-time allocation and Pre allocation planning when required.
- Responsible for holding stocks of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team which will be issued by the TAC when required.
- Escalate issues as required, where further guidance or experience will enhance dnata service delivery.
- Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
- Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.
- Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in Airport Operations and 1-3 years in a supervision/management role
- Proficient knowledge in Airport Operations
- Advanced IT and Computer Literacy Skills
- Previous aviation experience preferrable.
