Duties:
To provide efficient ground support services to the departure and arrival aircraft, ensuring effective customer service support to the operating crew and ground support team. To support a team of Ramp Personnel to deliver proficient ground handling and equipment support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all flights.
- When required, assist Ramp Personnel in the day to day operation. This includes conducting marshalling, towing, and other ground handling activities.
- Responsible for the day to day management and supervision of Ramp Services activities. Ensure these activities are carried out in accordance to operating procedures and safety standards, as per local and international regulations. Ensure the service is punctual and adheres to agreed obligations.
- Monitor Arrivals and Departure flights to ensure Ground Operations functions are carried out within the required time scales.
- Facilitate, monitor and evaluate development of staff while carrying out annual performance and development of assigned employees.
- Set and review measurable service standards and benchmarks based on ongoing business demands and changing customer requirements.
- Provide technical and administrative support to the operating crew, ensuring all relevant personnel records and technical equipment are readily available to conduct an efficient operation.
- Operate the headset/radio to provide communication between ground crew, flight crew, and tower.
- Communicate with ground dispatchers, maintenance and fueling personnel to provide effective ground support for aircraft needs and quick turnarounds.
- Perform Load Control as required
Requirements:
- 10 years schooling
- 5+ years Ground handling services/environment either with an airline or fixed base operator
