dnata Zanzibar are looking for enthusiastic, driven members to join our Training team. 

 

Description:

To create, amend, and deliver specific training programmes offered by dnata to employees and ensuring that all standards are met and are in line with the dnata Global Training Framework.

 

Duties:

  • Develops training plans in alignment with dnata training matrix and availability of employees, taking into consideration operational requirements.
  • Checks training plans and assists in planning the calendar for each training category.
  • Health and safety responsibilities.
  • Delivers training as per the direction of the Training Manager and commensurate with their own subject matter expertise.
  • Ensures that the training nominations by the operational departments are aligned with the criteria for training – pre-requisites, performance and business needs.
  • Provides accurate and timely communication with internal customers and vendors, in addition for the effective coordination for training support functions such as materials, venue, equipment and any other required resources.
  • Liaises with relevant departments with regards to their training requirements, including helping to collate and document needs for specific areas of responsibility, and providing information on existing appropriate training solutions.
  • Reviews and updates the training matrix regularly to ensure competence requirements by role are reflected accurately.
  • Update personnel training records on a routine basis to ensure continual accuracy so that the information is available to the concerned line departments to monitor training performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Learning Management System and ensure that all staff and line management are notified well in advance before a recurrency training intervention is required.
  • Prepare and distribute the pre course study material when appropriate to ensure smooth running of the training programme and following up with the attendees or their line department for maximum attendance.
  • Conduct effective briefing sessions to update staff on new development and changes of procedure within the organisation and department.
  • Investigate, in liaison with Safety and line management, relevant incidents in order to identify any issues relating to training effectiveness, and then recommend solutions to resolve the issue.
  • Conduct, in liaison with line management, post course evaluations to measure training effectiveness and to ensure that service standards are met.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis in response to changing operational needs.
  • Follow company procedures related to safety and security.
  • Report deviations from process, unsafe acts, faulty equipment and damaged infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
  • Report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.
  • Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace.

 

Safety

  • Ensure that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is a risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and control to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure safety of staff that they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely by providing support, directions, being a role model for the desire safety behaviours and leading with safety.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in Airport Operations and 1-3 years in a training role
  • Proficient knowledge in Airport Operations
  • Advanced IT and Computer Literacy Skills
